Life Groups

Because community is such a vital part of pursuing our relationship with God, we encourage every adult attending One Hope to connect with a life group.  It’s our desire that by being involved with a life group, you will experience a greater connection with Jesus and one another.

COMMON LIFE GROUP QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A LIFE GROUP?

Life groups are small groups of about twelve people which gather for the purpose of connecting with Jesus and one another. Life groups provide a training ground for Christ-followers and seekers to discover how to reflect God’s glory in all that we do. Life groups do this by pursuing three vital relationships: Jesus, Christ-followers, and outsiders.

WHAT DO LIFE GROUPS DO?

Life groups regularly spend time studying the Bible, caring for one another, and reaching out to others.

WHEN, WHERE, AND HOW LONG DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?

Life groups generally gather weekly or every other week for about 90 minutes.  Most groups meet in the evening, but the day of the week varies by the group.

HOW LONG DO LIFE GROUPS LAST?

Typically, life groups meet from September to November and January to May.  Some groups will vary based on the study that is chosen.

WHAT ABOUT CHILD CARE?

Typically, life groups are intended for adults because of the depth of study and conversation. (Students and Kids engage in life groups together on Sundays and Wednesdays.)

We leave it up to each family to work out their own child care. Sometimes it works best for families to share a sitter or to swap child care with another family whose life group meets on a different evening.

One hope Kids

One Hope Kids offers age-appropriate, engaging environments for your kids to learn about, worship and experience the God who loves them.

One Hope Kids is a ministry where kids come to learn about God’s love and His promises. One Hope Kids serves children, PreK to 5th grade and their families.
At One Hope, we believe that when the church and family work together, they can make a greater impact than when they work alone. One Hope partners with parents in a variety of ways as we build relationships that point kids to Jesus. We want to provide a collision of family and church in our children’s lives that supports finding life and purpose through Jesus Christ.

KIDS MEET DURING THE 10:00AM SERVICE TIME ON SUNDAYS.

One hope Students

At One Hope, we believe student ministry exists to teach and communicate God’s word to the next generation, not just to play games and have fun (although we do that, too!).

Our hope is to raise up student leaders who are confident in their faith and in their relationship with Christ. Culture sees teenage years as a time of rebellion – pulling away from God and family – but we believe these to be important and productive years in which our students can build faith, grow in their relationships with God, family and others.

Students meet on Wednesday Nights

7:00pm - 8:15pm

WHAT TO EXPECT

ARRIVAL

As you arrive, you are welcome to drop your student off at the main entrance or even stick around to experience the worship service. Most students arrive about 15-30 minutes before the service starts to connect with each other.

PRE-SERVICE/CONNECTION

During this time, 15-30 minutes before service, students will connect with each other through socializing and playing games as they continue to encourage each other in their faith. Drinks and snacks are provided at this time as well. If your student has a dietary restriction or food allergy, please contact us ahead of time.

WORSHIP

Students come together to worship God through music (led by our awesome student band!) and biblical teaching that is engaging and relevant to their lives.

SMALL GROUPS

Students will then split up into separate age and gender appropriate groups led by our student ministry volunteers. Here, your student can connect with their peers and encourage each other as they talk about the biblical teaching they just heard.

Serve

God has gifted every Christian with unique and significant gifts to serve Him, His church, and the world. We are constantly tempted to simply be consumers, but we’ve been given these gifts that we might live out our identity as servants and pour into others. There are so many ways to get involved, and there is no greater joy than being used by God in a way that makes an eternal impact on others.
